BURKERT Type 2000 (SKU 20071968) pneumatically operated 2/2-way angle seat valve. Features a stainless steel body, PA actuator, weld end (DN32), PTFE seal, and ATEX/IECEx approval.

The BURKERT Type 2000 (SKU 20071968) is a pneumatically operated 2/2-way angle seat valve optimized for decentralized process automation. It features a stainless steel body, a PA (Polyamide) actuator, and a weld end connection (DN 32). The reliable self-adjusting packing gland provides high sealing integrity. This maintenance-free and robust valve can be retrofitted with a comprehensive range of accessories for position indication, stroke limitation, or manual override.

The externally piloted angle seat valve is operated with a single-acting piston actuator. High flow rates are attained with the virtually straight flow path.
The valve is normally closed by spring force. Spring force generates the closing force on the pendulum disc. The force is transferred via a spindle which is connected to the actuator piston.
Flow inlet under seat (Flow to open): As the medium pressure is under the pendulum disc, this pressure contributes to the opening of the valve. The flow inlet is under the valve seat. This direction is suitable for liquids, steam, and gases.

Risk of water hammer when flow inlet over seat!
When flow inlet is over the seat, do not use the angle seat valve for liquid media due to the risk of water hammer.

Welded housing installation
Before welding in the valve housing, remove the actuator to prevent damage to the seals. For Control Function A, pressurize the control air connection with compressed air (5.5 bar) so that the pendulum disc is lifted off the valve seat and is not damaged when removing or installing the actuator.
