BURKERT 20094727 Type 2921 Manual 2/2-Way Globe Valve, Welded Connection

Burkert 20094727 Type 2921 manual 2/2-way globe valve. Features DN 80 welded connection, stainless steel body, and PTFE/PEEK seal. Handles 0-19 bar and -10°C to 230°C.

BURKERT 20094727 Type 2921 Manual 2/2-Way Globe Valve, Welded Connection

Burkert Type 2921 globe valve consists of a manual actuator and a 2-way body made of stainless steel. With a high-quality valve body, the manually operated valve offers diverse usage options to shut off both neutral and aggressive gaseous and liquid media. The tried-and-tested self-adjusting packing gland guarantees optimal tightness and therefore enables low-maintenance operation, even at high switching cycles. Depending on the application, the soft PTFE or PEEK seal ensures a reliable valve seat seal, even under challenging operating conditions. The actuator is made of high-quality plastic and is suitable for use in demanding environments.

Product Design and Structure

BURKERT 20094727 Burkert Type 2921 structure and components

1 Handwheel with locking (optional) | 2 Position indicator 3 Relief bore | 4 Wrench flat for open-end wrench 5 Globe body | 6 Port connection 7 Flow direction indicator

Position Indicator

BURKERT 20094727 Burkert Type 2921 position indicator

When turning the handwheel anticlockwise, the reproducible stroke scale becomes visible between the position indicator and the handwheel. The scale on the handwheel determines the rotation position of the handwheel (50 positions). The reproducible stroke scale shows, depending on the bottom edge of the handwheel, the relative position of the valve (valve opening) and acts as a fixation point for determining the rotation position.

Flow Direction

The valve seat is always closed against the medium flow. The flow direction should therefore be set such that the valve reaches the flow beneath the valve seat.

Installation and Maintenance

WARNING

Risk of injury due to high pressure and escaping medium Switch off the pressure before working on the device or system. Vent or drain the lines.

Install the actuator on devices with a welded connection

  1. Check and replace seal. Make certain that no remnants of seal material get into the pipe system.
  2. Grease the external thread of the body connection (e.g. with Klüberpaste UH1 96-402 from Klüber).
  3. Screw actuator into valve body, noting the tightening torque (120 Nm ±5 for DN 80).

Inspection intervals

  • Perform a visual inspection of the device once per year.
  • If leaks occur, replace the respective wearing part.
  • Muddy and abrasive media require correspondingly shorter inspection intervals.
