BURKERT 336909 Type 2106 Pneumatically Operated 3/2-Way Seat Valve

Burkert Type 2106 (Model 336909) pneumatically operated 3/2-way seat valve ELEMENT. Features a stainless steel body, PTFE seal, and decentralized automation for mixing or distributing mediums.

BURKERT 336909 Type 2106 Pneumatically Operated 3/2-Way Seat Valve

BURKERT 336909 Type 2106 is a pneumatically operated 3/2-way seat valve ELEMENT designed for decentralized automation. It consists of a pneumatically operated ELEMENT actuator and a 3-way stainless steel valve body. Interchanging of pressure and service ports enables different fluidic circuit functions, such as the mixing or distributing of mediums.

The flow-optimized valve body of Type 2106 allows excellent flow rates. The tried and tested self-adjusting gland secures a high level of tightness and ensures reliable operation over years. The directly connected control head and actuator provide a compact and smooth design, integrated pneumatic lines, protection class IP65/67, NEMA Type 4X, and high chemical resistance.

Explosion Protection (ATEX) Guidelines

When using the device in potentially explosive areas (Zones 1/21 and 2/22), the following special conditions apply:

Explosion Hazard due to Electrostatic Charge!

If statically charged devices or persons discharge suddenly, there is a risk of explosion in the potentially explosive area.

  • Take appropriate measures to ensure that no electrostatic charge can build up in the potentially explosive area.
  • Only wipe the surface of the device gently with a damp or anti-static cloth.
  • Ground the actuator and valve body.
  • If a plastic valve body is used, ground the actuator separately.

Temperature Classes:

Temperature ClassT2T3T4
Permissible Surface Temp300 °C200 °C135 °C
Ambient Temperature-40 to 130 °C-40 to 130 °C-40 to 100 °C
Max Medium Temperature285 °C185 °C125 °C

Device Grounding:

  1. Ground the valve body using a conductive connection to the piping system.
  2. Exposed metal parts not integrated into the valve potential equalization (PA) must be included in the PA by the customer.
  3. Conductive parts must be grounded separately. Install a grounding strap clip or grounding terminal as shown below.
