Yoshitake SCV-16 Lift Check Valve

Yoshitake SCV-16 lift check valve for steam, air, and water pipelines. Features ductile cast iron body, stainless steel valve internals, 1.6 MPa maximum pressure, and 200°C maximum working temperature.

Yoshitake SCV-16 Lift Check Valve

Yoshitake SCV-16 lift check valve prevents backflow of fluid. It is widely used in steam and water pipelines. The valve and the valve seat are made of stainless steel for excellent durability.

Note on Leakage

Do not use the valve in applications that do not allow any valve seat leakage. Since a small amount of fluid leaks out of the product, it cannot be used for applications requiring complete closing.

Vertical Installation

When installing the product on a vertical posture, please make the fluid flow from the ground up. The valve can be installed on a vertical pipe only for the flow from bottom to top.

Installation and Operation Precautions

Installation Precautions

  • When installing the product to the piping, make sure that the tip of the thread does not interfere with the bulkhead of the valve or apply excessive torque which will damage the valve.
  • Impact by rapid pressure change, such as water hammer, leads to breaking the product or parts.
  • When the product is in a sealed piping state, the fluid temperature rising and expansion leads to malfunction of the product.
  • Keeping fluid in the product for a long term fixes sliding parts and leads to malfunction.
  • Fluid with high viscosity fixes the parts and leads to malfunction.
  • Secure enough space needed for maintenance, inspection, and repair.
  • Do not apply excessive load, torque, or vibration to the product.
  • Before installation, be sure to remove foreign substances and scale from the piping, and prevent seal materials from flowing into the inside of piping.
  • Do not make dissimilar metal piping which causes a difference in electrical potential to prevent corrosion.
  • Check the direction of the product so that the fluid flowing and the arrow marked on the product are in the same direction.

Operating Precautions

  • Before flowing the fluid, make sure that there is no danger when the fluid flows to the end of piping.
  • Make sure that the connection is securely connected and there is no slack. If tightening is not secured, the fluid may blow out.
  • If the fluid is at a high temperature, do not touch directly to prevent burns.

Maintenance Warning

Completely discharge the pressure inside of the product, line, and equipment before disassembling or maintenance. In the case of high-temperature fluid, cool down the product until it can be touched with bare hands. Failure to follow this notice may result in injury or burns.
