Armstrong ASG Clean Steam Generator

The Armstrong ASG Clean Steam Generator uses industrial steam to heat pure water, producing low-pressure clean steam meeting EN285 standards. Features 316 SS construction and automatic operation.

Armstrong ASG Clean Steam Generator

The Armstrong ASG Clean Steam Generator is designed to meet high requirements for steam quality. It uses industrial steam as a heat source to heat pure water (demineralized or deionized water) to generate clean steam, satisfying the steam cleanliness requirements of process systems and equipment in various industries such as food, beverage, pharmaceutical, electronics, fine chemicals, and hospitals. The clean steam quality meets the relevant requirements of EN285 for sterilization.

  • Accurate level control: Magnetic or capacitive level gauge combined with an electronic controller.
  • Quality assurance: Automatic blowdown at the bottom of the steam generation tank ensures clean steam quality.
  • Integrated design: All components are mounted on a stainless steel frame, which is compact, aesthetically pleasing, and easy to install on-site.

Main Components

Clean Steam Generation Tank

The clean steam generation tank is designed and manufactured according to Class I pressure vessel standards. All welded parts are made of 316 stainless steel to ensure high corrosion resistance.

Level Control

Accurate control of the water level in the clean steam generation tank is an important guarantee for the efficient operation of the system and prevents moisture carryover in the steam. It uses a magnetic or capacitive level gauge and an electronic controller to automatically control the liquid level.

Condensate Drainage

Armstrong steam traps ensure that condensate in the heat exchanger is discharged immediately, improving heat exchange efficiency, achieving efficient heating, and reducing water accumulation corrosion and water hammer hazards.

High-Quality Heat Exchanger

Depending on process requirements, sanitary gasketed, brazed, or fully welded plate heat exchangers, or fully welded plate-and-shell heat exchangers can be used. All parts in contact with pure water and clean steam are made of 316 stainless steel. A pre-heater is optional to fully absorb the residual heat of the condensate discharged from the main heat exchanger to preheat the pure water, achieving high-efficiency heating and energy utilization.

Safety Devices

A stainless steel safety valve is installed on the steam generation tank. At the same time, an electronic pressure sensor outputs a high-pressure alarm signal to the controller to prevent excessive pressure from damaging the clean system and equipment.

Blowdown Control

The automatic blowdown control system uses an Armstrong CC-5 cooler, timer, and solenoid valve to periodically blow down and cool automatically, ensuring steam quality and reducing thermal pollution to the environment.

Industrial Steam Control

The pneumatic control valve features rapid response to meet the requirements of quick reaction to industrial steam during sudden load changes, ensuring smooth and accurate control of clean steam pressure. Steam separator/trap stations and filters are also provided to ensure a high-quality industrial steam heating source.

Product Specifications and Models

Model Explanation

For example, if the industrial steam pressure is 0.6 MPa and you need to generate clean steam with a pressure of 0.2 MPa and a capacity of 700 kg/h, you can use the clean steam generator model "ASG0700-02".
