Armstrong 蒸汽分配管束 MSD & SMSD MSD & SMSD Steam Distribution Manifolds

Armstrong MSD and SMSD forged steel steam distribution manifolds centralize steam supply valves, simplifying installation and reducing maintenance costs.

Armstrong 蒸汽分配管束 MSD & SMSD MSD & SMSD Steam Distribution Manifolds

Armstrong MSD and SMSD Steam Distribution Assemblies place all steam supply valves in one location. Standardizing components and centralizing their location simplifies installation while providing cost savings. You also save because routine maintenance is faster. Insulation can also be provided, which can be a major savings in most installations.

All MSD and SMSD models are CE Marked according to the PED (2014/68/UE).

Installation

Before connecting the manifold to the system, please blowdown the line at full pressure to clear the pipes of dirt, pipe cuttings and welding beads. Possible connections: steam line - socketweld or flanged; tracers - screwed or socketweld.

Maintenance

DANGER

Equipment under pressure - Operating temperature > 100°C. Make sure manifold is cold before handling!

Valves Maintenance:

  1. Make sure to interrupt steam flow up and down stream in order to isolate the manifold.
  2. Using the valve's handwheels, open completely each valve.
  3. Open the manifold drain valve slowly to depressurize the manifold.
  4. Unscrew the bonnet nuts and leave stud in the body.
  5. Pull the bonnet assembly out of valve body.
  6. Remove the lower sealing rings, circular springs and sealing washer using the appropriate extractor (D115108). Check to see if all components, including valve washer at bottom of valve body have been removed. Inspect and clean any debris that might have remained in the valve body.
  7. Place Armstrong part SAA1723 (stacking of seals, stem, flywheel, cap) into valve body and lightly tap it to the bottom. Screw evenly the nuts until the bonnet seats on the valve body.
  8. If only the stack is damaged, replace it with article D42906.
