Burkert Type 2100 pneumatically operated 2/2-way angle seat valve for decentralized automation. Features stainless steel CF3M body, PTFE/PEEK seals, and handles pressures up to 25 bar.

Burkert Type 2100 is a pneumatically operated 2/2-way angle seat valve optimized for decentralized process automation. The design allows the integration of automation units in all expansion stages, from electrical/optical position feedback to pneumatic control and integrated fieldbus interfaces. The self-adjusting V-seal packing gland ensures high tightness and extends the service life of the valve. The integrated system of valve and automation unit features a compact design, integrated pilot air ducts, IP65/67 and NEMA Type 4X protection classes, and high resistance to chemicals.

| Control medium | Air, neutral gases |
The closing force is transferred by a spindle connected to the actuator piston. The valve supports multiple control functions depending on the application requirements:
Only use flow direction below the seat for liquid media, gases, and vapours. As the medium is present under the swivel plate, the operating pressure contributes to the opening of the valve.

Only use flow direction above the seat for gases and vapours, and for valves with control function A (closed by spring force in rest position). As the medium is present above the swivel plate, the operating pressure contributes to the closing of the valve and supports the sealing of the valve seat.

WARNING
Risk of damage due to bursting pipes and bursting equipment when the flow is above the seat. In the case of liquid mediums, water hammer can occur, causing pipes and the device to burst. Do not use valves with flow above the seat for liquid mediums.

ATEX Installation Note
For use in potentially explosive atmospheres, the valve body and actuator must be properly grounded to prevent electrostatic charging hazards. Conductive parts must be grounded separately if a plastic valve body is used.
The Type 2100 angle seat valve can be combined with position feedback units (Type 8690/8697) and control heads (Type 8691/8695) to form the valve system on/off ELEMENT Type 8801-YE. These units provide optical position indication, mechanical or inductive proximity switches, and fieldbus interfaces (AS-Interface, IO-Link, büS).
