BURKERT 20047141 3320 Electromotive 2/2-Way Angle Seat Valve

Burkert Type 3320 electromotive 2/2-way angle seat on/off valve. Features 0-25 bar operating pressure, 24 V DC supply, IP65/IP67 protection, and DN 15 to DN 80 connections.

BURKERT 20047141 3320 Electromotive 2/2-Way Angle Seat Valve

Burkert Type 3320 electromotive 2/2-way angle seat valve operates as an on/off valve for shut-off tasks under demanding operating conditions. The electromotive actuator features a ball screw that moves the swivel plate at speeds up to 6 mm/s, reacting almost instantaneously to process signals. The valve provides a safety position via an optional SAFEPOS energy-pack in the event of a power failure. The closed design and powder-coated aluminium actuator housing provide IP65/IP67 and NEMA 4X protection, ensuring resistance to impact and vibration. The valve utilizes a self-adjusting packing gland with exchangeable V-seals to maximize service life and tightness. The fieldbus-compatible Type 3320 supports EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP, and EtherCAT for process monitoring and valve diagnostics.

Operating Limits for Seat Seal

PTFE is used for a maximum medium temperature of +130 °C. If the maximum medium temperature temporarily or permanently exceeds +130 °C, PEEK is the appropriate seal material.

Product Design and Assembly

BURKERT 20047141 Burkert 3320 design of the electromotive valve AG2

BURKERT 20047141 Burkert 3320 design of the electromotive valve AG3

  • Mechanical manual override: Located under the blind cover (AG2) or pressure compensation element (AG3). Ensures the actuator can be operated if the power supply fails.
  • Electrical manual override: Carried out via two buttons under the blind cover.
  • Display 360° LED light ring: Indicates device status, valve end position, and operating state.
  • Mechanical position indicator: Shows the current valve position even if the supply voltage fails.
  • SAFEPOS energy-pack (optional): Supplies the actuator with energy to move the valve into a safe position during a power failure. Fully charged after a maximum of 120 seconds.

Service and Maintenance

Risk of injury from high pressure

Before working on the system or device, switch off the pressure and vent or drain lines.

Risk of injury if the wrong tools are used

To remove the actuator from the valve body, use an open-end wrench, never a pipe wrench. To replace the packing gland, use a special installation wrench, modified socket wrench, or open-end wrench.

Removing the Actuator

When removing the actuator from the valve body, ensure that the valve is in the open position. The control valve can be manually opened electrically or mechanically. Do not exceed the maximum tightening torque of 2 Nm when using the mechanical manual control.

Changing the Swivel Plate Set

  1. Support the swivel plate on the cylindrical part using a prism.
  2. Knock out the dowel pin using a suitable pin punch (3 mm for spindle diameter 10 mm; 5 mm for spindle diameter 14 mm).
  3. Remove the swivel plate.
  4. Place the new swivel plate on the spindle, align the holes, and carefully knock in the dowel pin.

Installing the Actuator

Grease the external thread of the body connection (e.g., with Klüber paste UH1 96-402). Screw the actuator onto the valve body using an open-end wrench.

Running X.TUNE

After installing the actuator, run the X.TUNE function to adjust the position controller to the physical stroke of the actuating element. Never run the X.TUNE under medium pressure.
