BURKERT 344696 2/2-Way Angle Seat Valve, Pneumatically Operated

Burkert Type 2000 (Model 344696) pneumatically operated 2/2-way angle seat valve. Features a stainless steel body, G 1 1/2 internal thread, PA actuator, and PTFE seal. Normally open (CF B).

BURKERT 344696 2/2-Way Angle Seat Valve, Pneumatically Operated

BURKERT 344696 (Type 2000) is a pneumatically operated 2/2-way angle seat valve designed for the controlled flow of liquid and gaseous media. The externally piloted angle seat valve is operated with a single-acting piston actuator made of PA (Polyamide). High flow rates are attained with the virtually straight flow path, and the reliable self-adjusting packing gland provides high sealing integrity.

This maintenance-free and robust valve features a stainless steel body and is optimized for decentralized process automation, fulfilling practical application requirements even under tough operating conditions.

Product Structure

BURKERT 344696 angle seat valve structure

The angle seat valve consists of a pneumatically actuated piston actuator with an optical position indicator and a 2/2-way valve housing. The closing force is transferred via a spindle which is connected to the actuator piston.

Control Function

Control function B (CF B): Pneumatically operated 2/2-way on/off valve. Flow direction below seat. Normally opened by spring force.

As the medium pressure is under the pendulum disc (flow below seat), this pressure contributes to the opening of the valve. This flow direction is suitable for liquids, steam, and gases.

WARNING

Risk of leaks For control function B, a too low control pressure may result in leaks. Observe the minimum control pressure of 2.4 bar.

Installation

  • Installation position: As required, preferably with the actuator upright.
  • Pilot air port: Thread G 1/4.

TIP

If the position of the control air connection for installation of the hose is unfavorable, it can be aligned steplessly by rotating the actuator through 360°.

DANGER

Risk of injury from high pressure in the system! Turn off the pressure and vent the lines before loosening lines or valves.
