BURKERT 773288 Type 1061 Position Feedback Unit with AS-Interface

Burkert 773288 Type 1061 position feedback unit for pneumatic rotary actuators. Features electromechanical feedback, AS-Interface, integrated 3/2-way solenoid valve, and M12 4-pin connection.

BURKERT 773288 Type 1061 Position Feedback Unit with AS-Interface

Burkert 773288 Type 1061 combines the functions of a position feedback indicator and a solenoid valve in one compact box. It is perfectly suited for pneumatic rotary actuators such as Type 2051 and Type 2052. This specific model features electromechanical feedback with an AS-Interface plug-in card, an integrated 3/2-way solenoid valve, and an M12 4-pin connector. The adjustable mounting console enables use with actuators of different sizes.

Assembling

Risk of Injury

The electric components inside the box carry dangerous voltage. Moreover, there is a risk of bruising by rotating parts. Do not open the housing while operating!

  1. Bring the actuator to a completely "Open" or "Close" position.
    • Closed: Valve is closed, channel position is abreast the actuator's longitudinal axis.
    • Open: Valve is open, channel position towards actuator axis.

Burkert 773288 Type 1061 actuator open and close positions

  1. Equate the module's axis with the actuator.
  2. The device must be grounded.
  3. Attach the box with the bracket on the actuator or valve and fix it.
  4. Connect the control unit. Connect a suitable mating connector with the 4-pole M12-connection.

Adjusting Switch-Points

Ex factory, the modules are adjusted as follows:

  • Switch-point close: Position Valve/Actuator at 2° to 6°
  • Switch-point open: Position Valve/Actuator at 84° to 88°

If readjustment is necessary:

  1. Untighten cover screws and open the housing.
  2. Position "Closed": Keep pushing down the lower switch cam (1) and turn it (2) until the micro-switch is activated.
  3. Position "Open": Keep pushing down the upper switch cam (1) and turn it (2) until the micro-switch is activated.
  4. Close the housing. (Fastening torque of the screws: 1.4 Nm)

Solenoid Valve Pneumatic Connection

The integrated 3/2-way solenoid valve is already wired on the terminal block, meaning the supply voltage comes via the system connection. The pneumatic connection to the solenoid valve is realized by an external connection block.

Maintenance

Maintenance Recommendation

Long-time outdoor usage can cause gaskets to become brittle. Safe operation can only be guaranteed with leak-proof boxes. Seals should be checked and, if necessary, exchanged at least after five years by qualified personnel.
