GESTRA UNA 23, UNA 25, UNA 26, and UNA 27h are ball float steam traps equipped with rolling ball regulators (SIMPLEX/DUPLEX) or bellows regulators (SIMPLEX-MAX/DUPLEX-MAX). These traps operate independently of back pressure, making them suitable for universal use in steam systems. The design features a body with a flange-mounted cover, allowing for easy replacement of functional parts without removing the trap body from the pipeline.

Control Unit Variants

• SIMPLEX / SIMPLEX-MAX: Level-based control units especially suited for cold condensate and superheated steam applications.
• DUPLEX / DUPLEX-MAX: Control units featuring automatic temperature-based venting, ideal for saturated steam systems during start-up and operation.

Installation Orientations

• UNA 2...h: Specifically designed for installation in horizontal pipelines.
• UNA 2...v: Designed for installation in vertical pipelines with downward flow.
• Sightglass Option: The UNA 23h/v models are available with an integrated glass water-level gauge for visual monitoring of the condensate level.

Maximum Differential Pressure (ΔPMX)

The maximum admissible differential pressure depends on the orifice (seat design) selected and the density of the fluid. Standard orifices include 2, 4, 8, 13, 22, and 32 bar, with "MAX" versions available for high flowrate requirements.

Maintenance and Safety

The UNA series is designed for easy in-line maintenance. By removing the cover, the control unit and orifice can be inspected or replaced while the body remains in the pipe.

Safety Caution

The equipment is under pressure and hot during operation. Always ensure the system is depressurized (0 bar) and cooled (20 °C) before performing installation or maintenance. Sharp edges on internal parts may present a risk of cuts; industrial gloves are recommended.
