Spirax Sarco GS-X Series Controller Range

The Spirax Sarco GS-X range of panel-mounted programmable single-loop PID controllers is designed to optimize production yield for thermal and other processing applications. These controllers are ideal for digitized Industry 4.0 and "Industrial Internet of Things" (IIoT) applications, offering precise, repeatable control and measurement performance.

The GS-X1 and GS-X2 are suitable replacements for the SX80 and SX90 series respectively, providing advanced features in a modern package.

Operation and Configuration

The GS-X series uses a multi-level access system for security and ease of use:

  1. Level 1 & 2: Operator levels for day-to-day operation.
  2. Level 3: Supervisor level for PID tuning and setpoint limits. (Password: 0003)
  3. Configuration (ConF): Full access to instrument configuration. (Password: 0004)

Backup and Configuration

A USB backup cable is available for convenient desktop configuration and backup. It powers the instrument even without the sleeve. The iTools software provides a comprehensive graphical interface for backup and configuration.
