Product Overview

The S7 is a carbon steel baffle-type separator for the efficient removal of entrained liquids from steam, air, and gas systems. Through mechanical impingement on internal baffles, it separates droplets and collects them at the drain port. Depending on the application, a suitable steam trap (e.g., FT float type) or liquid drainer (e.g., CA series) is required to automatically discharge the collected condensate.

Product Application

• Steam Service: Recommended to fit an FT series ball float steam trap and AV series automatic air vent.
• Air/Gas Service: Recommended to fit a CA series ball float liquid drainer.

Material Specifications

All components of the S7, including the shell and internal baffles, are manufactured from Carbon Steel. For a complete stainless steel version, please see the S8 series (TI-P138-10).

Installation Note

• Efficient Drainage: To ensure efficient drainage of condensate, a suitable ball float trap must be installed.
• Balance Line: For air/gas applications, a balance line is required between the CA trap and the main line or top of the separator.
• Flow Direction: Install according to the flow direction arrow on the body.

How to Order

Example: 1 off Spirax Sarco DN80 S7 carbon steel separator with PN40 flanges. Suitable for pressures up to 25 bar g.

The S7 is non-maintainable due to its fully welded construction - No internal spare parts are available.
