Overview
Spirax Sarco SRV461 and SRV463 series are direct acting pressure reducing valves with all wetted parts in AISI 316L (1.4404, 1.4408, 1.4462, and 1.4571) stainless steel. These valves are specifically engineered for steam, liquid, or gas applications where cleanliness and corrosion resistance are paramount.

Technical Information
The SRV461S (Screwed) and SRV463S (Flanged) valves operate by balancing spring force against downstream pressure transmitted to a diaphragm.

Installation and Maintenance
Installation
- The SRV should be fitted in a horizontal pipeline.
- For steam service, the adjustment head must be below the valve.
- A 1/4" sensing line with suitable compression fittings should be used, connected at least 15 pipe diameters after the valve.
Safety Precautions
Warning: Do not attempt to dismantle the valve without first releasing the compression on the control spring.
Note on Elastomer Seals: If the valve has been subjected to temperatures near 315°C, Viton/FPM may form hydrofluoric acid. Avoid skin contact.
