TLV DR8-P compact forged stainless steel direct-acting pressure reducing valve for clean steam applications. Clamp end connection, max 8 barg, 175°C. FDA/USP compliant.

TLV DR8-P and DR8-EP are compact, direct-acting pressure reducing valves designed specifically for clean steam applications. They are constructed from forged stainless steel with wetted parts manufactured from highly durable, corrosion-resistant materials, including USP or FDA-compliant rubber and resin. These valves are widely used on autoclaves, sterilizers, humidifiers, and other equipment within the pharmaceutical, medical, and food industries.
The angle-type structure and internal buff-polishing minimize areas where condensate can accumulate, preventing contamination. The valve features a double-guided mechanism for stable operation and offers a high flow rate for its class. The internal parts are easily accessible, simplifying online maintenance and reducing cleaning costs.

Make sure the DR8 is installed vertically so that the arrow mark on the body matches the direction of steam flow, the outlet is horizontal, and the adjustment screw section faces up. Allowable inclination is 10 degrees in the fore-aft direction and 15 degrees side to side.
If an ON/OFF valve (solenoid or motorized) is required to stop steam supply, install it at the inlet side of the DR8 to prevent chattering and potential damage. A control valve installed between the DR8 and the equipment may raise pressure when closed; therefore, a safety valve should be installed downstream of the control valve.
