TLV P46UC-Y inline replaceable universal flange thermodynamic steam trap unit with thermostatic air venting, built-in screen, and 46 barg max operating pressure.

TLV P46UC-Y is an inline replaceable and cleanable 2-bolt universal flange thermodynamic steam trap unit featuring a built-in screen with a large surface area. It is intended for use with connector units that do not include a screen (e.g., Spirax Sarco PC10, Armstrong Standard Connector) on steam mains, tracers, and coils. The universal flange allows the trap to be easily positioned in the correct attitude, regardless of the pipeline configuration.
This PowerDyne trap features quick thermostatic air venting with a bimetal ring for fast start-up, allowing automatic discharge of initial air and cold condensate. The air jacketing reduces cycling and extends life, while the lapped disc provides a steam-tight seal without air binding.

Note: Differential pressure is the difference between the inlet and outlet pressure of the trap. Recommended safety factor: at least 2.
WARNING
Install properly and DO NOT use this product outside the recommended operating pressure, temperature, and other specification ranges. Take measures to prevent people from coming into direct contact with product outlets.

A visual inspection should be done on a daily basis to determine whether the trap is operating properly. Periodically, the operation should also be checked by using diagnostic equipment.
DANGER
When disassembling or removing the product, wait until the internal pressure equals atmospheric pressure and the surface of the product has cooled to room temperature.

| Part | During Disassembly | During Reassembly |
|---|---|---|
| Cover | Remove with a socket wrench | Tighten to the proper torque (250 N·m) |
| Disc | Remove, being careful not to scratch | Seat surface (lapped side with groove) facing down |
| Disc Holder Ring | Remove without bending | Set on the air vent ring |
| Module Valve Seat | Remove, being careful not to scratch | Insert levelly |
| Outer/Inner Gaskets | Remove and clean | Replace with new gaskets |

The BD2 Blowdown Valve, installed in the screen area of the trap body, uses the trap's internal pressure to blow any condensate, steam, dirt, or scale accumulated around the screen area out to the atmosphere.
