Yoshitake BSV-10ST stainless steel bellows valve featuring a double-layer bellows and PTFE soft seat for optimal leakage prevention. Suitable for steam, water, non-dangerous fluids, and hydrogen applications up to 183°C.

The Yoshitake BSV-10ST is a new stainless steel bellows valve designed to advance hydrogen applications and decarbonized society initiatives. It features SUS316 wetted parts and a PTFE-based bonnet gasket for optimal corrosion resistance and hydrogen leak prevention. The valve comes in two seat options: the BSV-10S with a metal seat (SUS316) for high temperatures up to 300°C, and the BSV-10ST with a soft seat (SUS316+PTFE) for applications up to 183°C.

The BSV-10 series offers two seat options. Both are suitable for various fluids used in hydrogen production processes. (Contact Yoshitake regarding specific operating conditions.)

Caution
Tightening for High-Temperature Fluids When used for high-temperature fluids (approx. 200°C or higher), raise the valve to the operating temperature, make sure the valve is open, and tighten the bolts in a diagonal sequence using a torque wrench. Tighten gradually from a low torque up to the specified tightening torque.
| Nominal size | 15-20A | 25-32A | 40-50A | 65A | 80-125A | 150-250A |

| Tightening torque (N·m) | 20 | 30 | 40 | 50 | 70 | 100 |

Operation Limits When using the valve fully open, turn the handle counterclockwise by 45 degrees from the fully open position to prevent sticking. Do not turn the handle beyond fully open/closed positions.

Opening Procedure for Large Sizes (200A and up) Sizes 200A and larger are equipped with Valve (S) to reduce opening torque. First, rotate the handle approximately one full turn to open Valve (S) and reduce differential pressure before continuing.

Handle Lock and Grease Injection To fix the handle, tighten the lock bolt. When applying grease to the sleeve (Henkel LOCTITE LB 8150 recommended), remove the lock bolt and inject grease into the screw hole.

| Trouble | Cause | Remedy |
|---|---|---|
| Leakage between body and bonnet | Stress relief of gasket. | Tighten the bolt additionally. If leakage persists, replace the product. |
| Leakage from gland packing | Damage of the bellows. | Tighten the gland nut. Then, replace the product immediately. |
| Leakage on complete closing | Valve/seat damaged or foreign matter caught. | Replace product or remove foreign substance. |
| Abnormally large operation torque | Poor lubrication or foreign substance on spindle. | Apply grease to sleeve or remove foreign substance. |
| Abnormal sound | Screws are loose. | Retighten loosened parts. |
