Yoshitake MS-1 Noiseless Heater for Steam

The Yoshitake MS-1 noiseless heater for steam features bronze construction, 0.05-0.7 MPa working pressure, and reduces noise when installed at piping ends.

Yoshitake MS-1 Noiseless Heater for Steam

The Yoshitake MS-1 is a noiseless heater designed for steam applications. By attaching it to the end of piping, it efficiently heats water while significantly reducing noise. Available in bronze (MS-1) or corrosion-free cast stainless steel (MS-3-13), this heater features a simple, trouble-free structure for reliable operation. It is rated for a working pressure of 0.05 to 0.7 MPa and a maximum warning sound temperature limit of 60°C.

Features

  • Noise can be reduced by attaching to the end of the piping.
  • Trouble-free simple structure.
  • Made of corrosion-free stainless steel (MS-3-13).

Nominal Size Selection

The steam volume (W) required to raise the temperature of a specific amount of water can be calculated using the following formula:

Based on the steam volume (kg/h) and steam pressure (MPa), select the appropriate nominal size using the chart below.

Installation and Operation

Cautions for Installation

  • The noiseless heater should be mounted 300mm or more from the tank’s walls and bottom. Vibration may occur in a tank by the flow of a liquid.
  • Use it within the maximum warning sound temperature limit (60°C). Exceeding this limit causes vibration in a tank and piping.
  • Submerge the product in the tank. If it is unavoidable, keep it as close to the water surface as possible.

Recommendations

  • Fully utilize the nominal size selection chart to obtain planned results.
  • Consider the blow-off position in relation to the tank size.
  • A VB-7 vacuum relief valve is recommended in the piping to prevent backflow when steam is stopped.
