Precautions for Installation

WARNING

  • The product intake pipe connection port should be connected to the drainage groove and lead to the drainage groove in case of water leakage. (Do not launch the pipe, and make sure that its tip is at least 50 mm away from the overflow line of the drain hopper.)
    • There is a risk of getting dirty, injury or burns due to valve leakage.
  • When piping the product, be sure to remove foreign matter and scale from the piping. Also, make sure that seal tape, liquid sealant, etc. used for pipe connection not to mixed to the pipe.
    • If foreign matter, scale, or sealant is mixed, it may cause malfunction.
  • When installing the product to the piping, check the direction of fluid flow and the direction of the product inlet and outlet correctly.
    • Wrong installation cause malfunction of the products.
  • Install the product upright within 5 ° from the vertical, and install it at least 150 mm above the upper edge of the overflow edge of the water supply equipment and water container.
  • This product is not core compatible.
  • If there is a risk of freezing, keep warm. (Construct so that the air intake of the product is not blocked.)
    • There is a risk of damage due to freezing.
  • The vacuum breaker alone does not have a backflow prevention function. When using as a backflow prevention, install a check valve upstream of the vacuum breaker.
  • Install a gate valve or ball valve (full bore) at the water supply pipe connection port to stop the water during maintenance. Also, do not use a stop valve with a narrowed hole diameter because it will affect the function of the product.
  • Provide a space of 100mm or more for overhaul.
  • During initial water flow, slowly open the fluid supply valve to prevent water hammer.
    • If the fluid supply speed is too fast, the product may be damaged by water hammer.
  • When the operation is stopped for a long period of time, completely discharge the fluid inside the product and piping.
    • The product may malfunction due to rusting inside the piping.
