BURKERT 20016375 Type 8644 Valve Block, 11mm, 24-Bank AirLINE Quick

Burkert Type 8644 (Model 20016375) is a 24-bank valve block designed for the AirLINE electropneumatic automation system. It integrates electric and pneumatic building blocks into a compact assembly, enabling a modular and flexible structure. This specific configuration features an 11 mm add-on dimension per station and includes 24x 3/2-way valves with circuit function C (normally closed).

The system utilizes the AirLINE Quick adapter, which considerably reduces the use of components in the control cabinet. With the AirLINE Quick Adapter in anodised aluminium, the valve terminal is adapted directly to the control cabinet floor or wall, reducing installation effort and space requirements.

AirLINE Quick Mounting

AirLINE Quick offers significant advantages for control cabinet installations:

  • Reduced space requirement in the control cabinet, making it possible to use more compact designs.
  • Reduced installation effort due to hose connections directly at the bottom or wall of the control cabinet.
  • Constructed from anodised aluminium for durability.

Valve Specifications (11 mm Width)

The block is equipped with 11 mm wide pilot valves (Type 6524), which consist of a pilot flipper solenoid valve and a pneumatic seat valve. The circuit function allows switching of high pressures with low power consumption and short switching times.

  • Circuit Function: 3/2-way valve, normally closed (Function C)
  • Flow Rate ($Q_{Nn}$): 300 l/min (measured at +20 °C, 6 bar pressure at valve inlet and 1 bar differential pressure)
  • Pressure Range: 2.5 to 10 bar
  • Manual Override: Standard
  • Body Material: PA (polyamide)
  • Seal Material: FKM, NBR, and PUR

Approvals and Explosion Protection

This valve block configuration is certified for use in hazardous areas:

  • ATEX / IECEx: II 2 G Ex eb IIC Gb / II 2 D Ex tb IIIC Db, Ex ec IIC T4 Gc, II 3 G Ex ec IIC T4 Gc.

WARNING

The explosion protection approval is only valid if you use the modules and components authorized by Burkert. If systems in the explosion-protected area are installed in a control cabinet, the cabinet must be authorized for use in the explosion-protected area and must be large enough to allow the resulting lost heat to be dissipated in a suitable manner to the outside.
