BURKERT 20026216 2104 Pneumatic T-Diaphragm Valve

Bürkert Type 2104 pneumatic T-diaphragm valve with stainless steel ELEMENT actuator. Designed for hygienic applications, featuring zero dead volume, ATEX/IECEx approval, and FDA/USP compliance.

BURKERT 20026216 2104 Pneumatic T-Diaphragm Valve

Bürkert Type 2104 externally controlled diaphragm valve consists of a pneumatically operated piston actuator, a diaphragm, and a T-valve body. The proven and robust actuator with a stainless steel housing ensures use in hygienic or aggressive ambient conditions. The flow-efficient valve bodies with little dead space enable high flow rates and a wide range of possible uses. The actuator has a compact, autoclavable design with gap-free seals, making it ideal for decentralised automation in sterile environments.

Control Functions

  • Control function A (CF A): Pneumatically operated T-valve, normally closed by spring force.
  • Control function B (CF B): Pneumatically operated T-valve, normally opened by spring force.
  • Control function I (CF I): Pneumatically operated T-valve on either side, switching position dependent on external control.

Approvals and Conformities

  • Explosion Protection: ATEX (II 2G Ex h IIC T4…T2 Gb / II 2D Ex h IIIC T135 °C…T300 °C Db) and IECEx.
  • Hygiene: 3-A Sanitary Standards Inc., FDA (Code of Federal Regulations), USP Class VI, EC Regulation 1935/2004.

ATEX/IECEx Installation

For use in potentially explosive atmospheres, observe the information on the device and the additional instructions with Ex labelling. The valve body and actuator must be properly grounded to prevent electrostatic charging hazards.

Dimensions vary by actuator size and connection type. Refer to the full datasheet for detailed T-body welded and clamp connection dimensions.

Installation Notes

Installation Position

The valve can be installed in any position, preferably with the actuator facing up. For T-valve bodies in circular pipelines, specific inclination angles are recommended for self-draining.

Welding Precautions

Damage to the diaphragm or the actuator can occur when welding the valve body into the pipeline. Remove the actuator and diaphragm from the valve body before installation.
