Burkert Type 8647 Valve Island AirLINE SP (SKU 20043852). Modular electropneumatic automation system for direct integration with Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP and ET 200SP HA.

Burkert Type 8647 AirLINE SP (SKU 20043852) is a modular, electropneumatic automation system consisting of connection and valve modules. It has been especially developed for safe and complete integration into the decentralised peripheral system "SIMATIC ET 200SP" and "SIMATIC ET 200SP HA" from Siemens. Pneumatically operated process valves, pneumatic cylinders, or other pneumatic components can be connected to the pneumatic outputs.
If the pneumatic components are installed with position feedbacks, the position of the actuated pneumatic components can be displayed on the associated pilot valve. This can save time on start-up and maintenance.

Combining modules from the distributed Siemens I/O systems SIMATIC ET 200SP/SP HA with the valve block AirLINE SP Type 8647 provides an integrated system of electronic and pneumatic components.
The pneumatic supply and deaeration of the valve block occurs via connection units. Furthermore, the valve block is fixed to the standard rail via the connection units. Connection units can be optionally equipped with a pressure gauge or electronic pressure sensor.
Valve units convert the electrical control signals of the interface module into pneumatic output signals and provide the pneumatic outputs. There are valve units with four valve slots (4-slot valve unit) or with eight valve slots (8-slot valve unit).
| Symbol | Description |
|---|---|
| C (CF C) | 3/2-way solenoid valve, servo-controlled, normally closed |
| D (CF D) | 3/2-way solenoid valve, servo-controlled, normally open |
| H (CF H) | 5/2-way solenoid valve, servo-controlled |
| L (CF L) | 5/3-way solenoid valve, in middle position all ports locked |
| N (CF N) | 5/3-way solenoid valve, in middle position ports 2 and 4 exhausted |
| Z (CF Z) | 5/2-way solenoid valve, impulse variant with 2 coils |
AirLINE Quick considerably reduces the use of components in the control cabinet. With the AirLINE Quick Adapter, the valve terminal is adapted directly to the control cabinet floor or control cabinet wall.
Advantages
The electrical shutdown of valve Types 6524 and 6525 causes them to return to the rest position. The selection of the appropriate circuit function of the valve depends on the application and is the responsibility of the user.
If a valve block Type 8647 is operated in the potential group of an F-PM-E 24VDC/8A PPM ST power module of the ET 200SP, the load voltage of the valve block can be shut down by the power module for safety reasons.
WARNING
Using manual override to operate valves overrides the electrical shutdown. Either use valve variants without manual override or protect the manual override against unintentional adjustment.
