Burkert Type 8647 AirLINE SP electropneumatic automation system. Modular valve island for direct integration into Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP and ET 200SP HA.

Burkert Type 8647 AirLINE SP is a modular, electropneumatic automation system consisting of connection and valve modules. It has been especially developed for safe and complete integration into the decentralised peripheral system "SIMATIC ET 200SP" and "SIMATIC ET 200SP HA" from Siemens. Pneumatically operated process valves, pneumatic cylinders or other pneumatic components can be connected to the pneumatic outputs. If the pneumatic components are installed with position feedbacks, the position of the actuated pneumatic components can be displayed on the associated pilot valve. This can save time on start-up and maintenance.

Combining modules from the distributed Siemens I/O systems SIMATIC ET 200SP/SP HA with the valve block AirLINE SP Type 8647 provides an integrated system of electronic and pneumatic components. Depending on the requirement, electrical and pneumatic modules with various functions can be combined with each other by the observation of simple rules.

The valve block is used to incorporate pneumatic pilot valves directly in SIMATIC ET 200SP/SP HA and to activate them via SIMATIC ET 200SP/SP HA. The valve block and the electronic modules of SIMATIC ET 200SP/SIMATIC ET 200SP HA provide numerous features, e.g. extensive configuration options or diagnostics capabilities. Optionally, valve groups can be switched off by an external, potential-free switching contact. It is then easy to implement control concepts, e.g. "Central system off".

AirLINE Quick considerably reduces the use of components in the control cabinet. With the AirLINE Quick Adapter, the valve terminal is adapted directly to the control cabinet floor or control cabinet wall.

Advantages:
Note
The valves of Type 0460 valves cannot be installed with AirLINE Quick due to their size.
DANGER
The electrical shutdown of valve Types 6524 and 6525 causes them to return to the rest position. The selection of the appropriate circuit function of the valve (CFC, CFD or CFH) depends on the application and is the responsibility of the user. To avoid brief back pressures in the event of a safety shutdown, the use of valve blocks with integrated check valves is strongly recommended. Using manual override to operate valves overrides the electrical shutdown.
If a valve block Type 8647 is operated in the potential group of an F-PM-E 24VDC/8A PPM ST power module of the ET 200SP, the load voltage of the valve block can be shut down by the power module for safety reasons. Valves of Types 6524 and 6525 return to their rest position. The prerequisite for safe operation is that the electrical supply of the valve block is provided by a SELV/PELV power supply unit.
