BURKERT 20112677 Electromotive Angle Seat Control Valve, 1 1/2" G, 24 V DC

Burkert 20112677 Type 3360 is a 2-way electromotive angle seat control valve equipped with a positioner function and an analogue control unit. It features a stainless steel body, a PTFE seat seal, and a 1 1/2" G internal thread connection. Operating on a 24 V DC supply voltage, the valve handles nominal pressures from 0 to 18 bar and medium temperatures between -10 °C and 130 °C. The actuator delivers a driving force of 2500 N and provides IP65/67 and NEMA 4X protection.

Safety Instructions

Risk of injury from high pressure. Before working on the system or device, switch off the pressure and vent or drain lines. Following an extended duty cycle or as a result of a hot medium, the surface of the device may become hot.

Manual Actuation

If the supply voltage is not applied, the valve position can be changed using the mechanical manual override.

  1. Switch off the supply voltage. Wait until the LED illuminated ring goes out.
  2. Remove the dummy cover or display module.
  3. To mechanically actuate the valve, use an Allen key with a width across flats of 3 mm.
  4. Applying a gentle pressure, couple the mechanical manual control and simultaneously turn the Allen key counter-clockwise to open, or clockwise to close.

WARNING

Maximum torque is 2 Nm. If the torque is exceeded on reaching the valve end position, the mechanical manual control will be damaged.

Removing and Mounting the Actuator

To prevent damage to the valve body or valve seat seal, the valve must be open when removing or mounting the actuator.

Removing the actuator:

  1. Set the operating state to MANUAL and move the valve to at least 1/3 open.
  2. Switch off the supply voltage.
  3. Clamp the valve body into a holding device.
  4. Place a suitable open-end wrench on the body connection and unscrew the actuator off the valve body.

Mounting the actuator:

  1. Replace the graphite seal.
  2. Grease the external thread of the body connection with an approved lubricant (e.g., Klüberpaste UH1 96-402).
  3. Screw the actuator onto the valve body. For DN 40 (1 1/2"), observe a tightening torque of 65 ±3 Nm.

Adjusting Position Control (X.TUNE)

After mounting the actuator, run the X.TUNE function to adjust the position control to the physical stroke of the actuating element.

DANGER

Never run the X.TUNE under medium pressure. If the X.TUNE is run under medium pressure, the controller will be incorrectly adjusted, resulting in an uncontrolled process.

  1. Remove the dummy cover.
  2. Ensure that no medium pressure is applied.
  3. Simultaneously hold down the OPEN and CLOSE buttons for 5 seconds.
  4. When the X.TUNE is running, the LED illuminated ring is lit orange.

Replacing the Control Cone

  1. Set the operating state to MANUAL, move the valve to at least 1/3 open, and switch off the supply voltage.
  2. Remove the actuator from the valve body.
  3. Knock out the dowel pin using a suitable pin punch (5 mm for spindle diameter 14 mm, DN 25 to 50).
  4. Remove the control cone.
  5. Attach the new control cone to the spindle, align the bores, and support the control cone on the cylindrical part with a prism.
  6. Put on the dowel pin and carefully knock it in with a hammer, positioning it in the center of the spindle axis.
