BURKERT 20116932 8647 AirLINE SP Electropneumatic Automation System

The BURKERT 8647 AirLINE SP is a modular electropneumatic automation system designed for seamless integration with Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP and ET 200SP HA.

BURKERT 20116932 8647 AirLINE SP Electropneumatic Automation System

The BURKERT 8647 AirLINE SP pneumatic valve island is a modular, electropneumatic automation system consisting of connection and valve modules. It has been especially developed for safe and complete integration into the decentralised peripheral systems "SIMATIC ET 200SP" and "SIMATIC ET 200SP HA" from Siemens. Pneumatically operated process valves, pneumatic cylinders, or other pneumatic components can be connected to the pneumatic outputs. If the pneumatic components are installed with position feedbacks, the position of the actuated pneumatic components can be displayed on the associated pilot valve, saving time on start-up and maintenance.

Compatible Solenoid Valves

Solenoid valves Type 6524 and Type 6525

BURKERT 20116932 BURKERT 8647 compatible solenoid valves Type 6524 and Type 6525

  • The pilot valve Type 6524 (single and double valve) and Type 6525 (single valve) consist of a pilot flipper solenoid valve Type 6144 and a pneumatic seat valve.
  • The circuit function allows switching of high pressures with low power consumption and short switching times.
  • The pilot valves are equipped with a manual override as standard.

AirLINE Quick

AirLINE Quick considerably reduces the use of components in the control cabinet. With the AirLINE Quick Adapter, the valve terminal is adapted directly to the control cabinet floor or control cabinet wall.

BURKERT 20116932 BURKERT 8647 AirLINE Quick adapter in stainless steel or anodised aluminium

Advantages:

  • Reduced space requirement in the control cabinet
  • This makes it possible to use more compact control cabinets
  • Reduced installation effort due to hose connections directly at the bottom of the control cabinet

Safety-related applications

The electrical shutdown of valve Types 6524 and 6525 causes them to return to the rest position. The selection of the appropriate circuit function of the valve (CFC, CFD or CFH) depends on the application and is the responsibility of the user. To avoid brief back pressures in the event of a safety shutdown, the use of valve blocks with integrated check valves is strongly recommended.

System setup with the F-PM-E power module

If a valve block Type 8647 is operated in the potential group of an F-PM-E 24VDC/8A PPM ST power module of the ET 200SP, the load voltage of the valve block can be shut down by the power module for safety reasons. Valves of Types 6524 and 6525 return to their rest position. The prerequisite for safe operation is that the electrical supply of the valve block is provided by a SELV/PELV power supply unit.
