BURKERT 20142714 Type 3360 Electromotive 2-Way Angle Seat Control Valve

BURKERT Type 3360 electromotive 2-way angle seat control valve (SKU 20142714). Features 24 V DC operation, 0-25 bar pressure range, PEEK seal, and IP65/67 protection.

BURKERT 20142714 Type 3360 Electromotive 2-Way Angle Seat Control Valve

The BURKERT Type 3360 (SKU 20142714) is an innovative electromotive 2-way angle seat control valve designed for demanding operating conditions. The electromotive actuator with a ball screw positions the control cone with the highest precision. A unique feature is its high positioning speed of up to 6 mm/s, which reacts quasi delay-free to process signals and can be varied according to customer demands. Pressure variations or shocks in the medium are not transferred to the valve position. This specific model features a 1/2" NPT internal thread connection, operates on 24 V DC, and utilizes a highly durable PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) seat seal suitable for medium temperatures from -10 °C to 185 °C and operating pressures up to 25 bar.

Actuator and valve are perfectly adapted to each other with a closed design and robust surface, ensuring the hygienic requirements of fast and residue-free cleaning. Harsh environments are no problem for the electromotive angle seat valve Type 3360 due to its IP65 / IP67 degree of protection and high impact and vibration resistance. Unrivalled service life and tightness are guaranteed by the proven self-adjusting packing gland with exchangeable V-seals.

Performance Specifications

Operating limits for medium temperature and operating pressure

In addition to the maximum operating pressures, the application range of Bürkert process valves is limited by the nominal pressure in accordance with the relevant standard.

INFO

By using plastics as sealing material (PEEK), the control valves can close tightly. PEEK is recommended for medium temperatures from -10 °C to +230 °C.

Product Design and Assembly

Integrated position controller

The position of the actuator (stroke) is controlled according to the position set-point value. The position set-point value is either given by an external standard signal (analogue) or via a fieldbus (digital). The displacement transducer records the actual position (POS) of the electric linear actuator. The positioner compares the actual position value with the position set-point value (CMD) specified as a standard signal. If there is a system deviation (Xd1), the electric motor drive is controlled via the actuating variable CTRL and the actual position value is changed accordingly.

Maintenance and Safety Instructions

Risk of injury from high pressure

Before working on the system or device, switch off the pressure and vent or drain lines.

Electrostatically sensitive components

The device contains electronic components which react sensitively to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Contact with electrostatically charged persons or objects are hazardous to these components. Do not touch electronic components while the supply voltage is switched on.

Danger due to uncontrolled process after running the X.TUNE function

If the X.TUNE is run under medium pressure, the controller will be incorrectly adjusted. This will result in an uncontrolled process. Never run the X.TUNE under medium pressure. Secure system against unintentional activation.

Adjusting the position control – running X.TUNE

Do not run X.TUNE without requirement! The X.TUNE function must be run again only when the actuator has been removed afterwards or the valve body has been changed. When the X.TUNE function is run, the position control is adjusted to the physical stroke of the actuating element used.
