Switching Performance and Pressure Limitations

Switching times are determined according to standard factory test procedures at +20 °C and 6 bar at the valve outlet. Opening corresponds to a pressure build-up from 0% to 90%, and closing corresponds to a pressure decay from 100% to 10%.

  • Opening response time: 10 to 15 ms
  • Closing response time: 15 to 20 ms

Circuit Function Pressure Dependency

Type 6014 valves utilize specific spring assemblies matched to each designated circuit function. If a valve manufactured for Circuit Function C is routed into another operating configuration, maximum permissible working pressures are altered:

  • In Function C operation: 10 bar
  • In Function A operation: 10 bar
  • In Function B operation: 14 bar
  • In Function D operation: 1 bar
  • In Function T operation: 1 bar

UL Approval and Operating Limits

BURKERT 332737 is UL Listed under UL 429 for electrically operated general-purpose valves (USA and Canada). Permissible temperature and media combinations according to manufacturer UL compliance documentation:

Installation Guidelines

  • Valve mounting position is arbitrary, but vertical orientation with the solenoid actuator upright is recommended to minimize particle accumulation.
  • Prior to installation, flush all process pipework thoroughly to eliminate thread shavings, seal residues, and particulate debris.
  • Never use the solenoid coil body as a mechanical lever when threading the valve onto process piping.

Operating Precautions

  • BURKERT 332737 does not have a manual override mechanism. Manual actuation cannot be performed during commissioning or system power outages.
  • Do not exceed the nominal operating voltage of 24 V DC by more than ±10% to prevent thermal overload of the coil winding.

Electrical Installation and Accessories

The solenoid coil connects through contact pins conforming to DIN EN 175301-803 Form A. An enclosed mating cable plug provides IP65 sealing when tightened with its central screw.

  • Pin 1: 0 V / Negative (-)
  • Pin 2: +24 V DC Positive (+)
  • Earth terminal: Protective earth conductor (PE), bonded to the valve core guide tube and internal metallic structural parts

Compatible System Accessories

  • Type 2518 Cable Plug: Form A connector available with integrated LED status display and varistor suppression circuit (12–24 V AC/DC).
  • Type 2509 Cable Plug: Form A connector without circuitry or with specialized industrial approvals.
  • Type 1087 Timer: Form A solid-state cycling timer for intermittent valve operation.
