Burkert Type 2031 (SKU 348199) 2/2-way diaphragm valve with PA pneumatic actuator. Features a 15mm orifice, EPDM seal, stainless steel tube body, and G1/2 threaded port.

BURKERT 348199 Type 2031 is an externally controlled 2/2-way diaphragm valve with a pneumatic PA (polyamide) piston actuator and an EPDM diaphragm seal. It uses neutral gases or air to control the flow of media. The valve features a stainless steel tube body (1.4435-BN2 / 316L) with a G1/2 threaded port and a 15mm orifice. It is designed for control function B (opened by spring force) and is self-draining when installed in the appropriate position.
The proven and robust actuator with a stainless steel valve body ensures reliable operation in hygienic or aggressive environments. The flow-optimised valve body with minimal dead space enables high volume flow rates and a wide range of possible applications.

Control function B (CF B): Pneumatically operated 2/2-way on/off valve. Bidirectional. Opened by spring force in rest position.
Depending on the control function, pneumatic pilot pressure generates the closing force. A spindle connected to the actuator piston transfers the force to the compressor, which presses the diaphragm against the weir in the valve body.
Pressure Limits
Do not exceed the maximum permissible pilot pressure or maximum permissible operating pressure. Observe specifications on the type label. Excessively high pressure or temperatures may damage the device and cause leaks.
Any installation position is possible, preferably with the actuator facing up.
Ensuring Self-Draining
The installer and the operator are responsible for ensuring self-draining. For optimum self-draining, the inclination angle of the pipeline and the self-draining angle for the valve body must be observed.

For leakage detection, one of the relief bores in the diaphragm bonnet for monitoring leakages must be at the lowest position.
