Burkert 350318 Type 2104 pneumatic diaphragm T-valve. Features stainless steel body, weld end connection, DN 50, and advanced PTFE/EPDM diaphragm for hygienic applications.

Burkert 350318 Type 2104 is an externally controlled diaphragm T-valve consisting of a pneumatically operated piston actuator, a diaphragm, and a T-valve body. The proven and robust actuator with a stainless steel housing ensures reliable use in hygienic or aggressive ambient conditions. The flow-efficient valve bodies with minimal dead space enable high flow rates and a wide range of possible uses. This specific model features a stainless steel body with a DN 50 weld end connection and an advanced PTFE diaphragm with an EPDM backing membrane, making it highly suitable for the food and beverage, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries.

The actuator has a compact, autoclavable design with gap-free seals. It offers IP65/67 and NEMA Type 4X degrees of protection and displays high chemical resistance. The integration of automation units Type ELEMENT is possible in all configuration levels.

WARNING
Explosion Hazard due to Electrostatic Charge! If the device is used in a potentially explosive atmosphere (Zones 1/21 or 2/22), take appropriate measures to ensure that electrostatic charges cannot accumulate. Ground the actuator and valve body. Only wipe the device surfaces with a damp or anti-static cloth.

TIP
Installation Position: The valve can be installed in any position, preferably with the actuator facing up. For self-draining capabilities, ensure the pipeline inclination angles comply with the valid ASME BPE standard, and one of the relief bores in the diaphragm bonnet is at the lowest position for leakage detection.
DANGER
Damage to the diaphragm or the actuator during welding! The diaphragm and actuator can be damaged when welding the valve body into the pipeline. Remove the actuator and diaphragm from the valve body before welding. After welding, smooth the surface by sanding if necessary and clean the valve body carefully before re-installing the actuator.
When re-installing the actuator, tighten the body screws crosswise in three stages (approx. 1/3, then 2/3, and then full tightening torque) without applying pilot pressure (for CF A).
