BURKERT 351181 Type 6430 Servo-Assisted 3/2-Way Piston Valve

Burkert Type 6430 (SKU 351181) is a servo-assisted 3/2-way piston solenoid valve. Features G1/2 thread, brass body, PUR seal, and handles -1 to 8 bar.

BURKERT 351181 Type 6430 Servo-Assisted 3/2-Way Piston Valve

Burkert Type 6430 (SKU 351181) is a servo-assisted 3/2-way piston valve. If the valve is not supplied with auxiliary pilot air, a minimum differential pressure is required for the function. Variants are available for neutral liquids and gases in the pressure range 1-16 bar, for technical vacuums up to 3 bar, and with auxiliary pilot air for vacuums up to 8 bar. All variants are available as an impulse variant to secure the switching position even in the event of power interruptions.

The Type 6430 is equipped with a manual override for start-up or manual operation (exception: impulse variant). To reduce electrical power consumption during operation, coils with integrated "Kick and Drop" (KD) electronics featuring double coil technology are available. A maintenance-free, media-separated 3/2-way pivoted armature valve Type 0331 is used as a pilot valve. In combination with a plug to DIN EN 175301-803 Form A, the valves satisfy degree of protection IP65.

Installation and Maintenance

Danger

Risk of injury from high pressure. Before loosening lines and valves, switch off the pressure! Vent or empty the lines. Risk of injury due to electric shock. Before working on the device or system, switch off the power supply. Secure against reactivation.

Installation Note

  • Check pipelines for soiling and clean if required.
  • Install a dirt trap upstream of the valve inlet (≤ 500 µm).
  • Ensure that the valve body is not installed twisted.
  • Do not use the solenoid as a lever arm.

Electrical Connection of Pulse Valve (CF02)

BURKERT 351181 Burkert Type 6430 circuit diagram connection of pulse valve

  • Connect pulse valves as shown in the circuit diagram. Pulse on Terminal 1 closes the valve, pulse on Terminal 2 opens the valve.
  • Avoid pulses from being simultaneously generated on both coil windings.
  • Other consumers (e.g. relays) must not be switched parallel to the terminals.

Troubleshooting

Valve does not switch

  • Short-circuit or coil interrupted
  • Inadequate power supply
  • Interior of the valve soiled
  • Medium pressure outside the permitted pressure range
  • Manual override locked
  • Not enough differential pressure available
  • The volume is not adequate

Valve does not close

  • Interior of the valve soiled
  • Manual override locked
  • Not enough differential pressure available
  • The volume is not adequate
