BURKERT 355232 Type 5282 Servo-Assisted 2/2-Way Solenoid Valve

Burkert 355232 Type 5282 servo-assisted 2/2-way solenoid valve. Features stainless steel body, G1 internal thread, NBR seal, 230V, 0.2-10 bar, and ATEX/IECEx approval.

BURKERT 355232 Type 5282 Servo-Assisted 2/2-Way Solenoid Valve

Burkert 355232 Type 5282 is a servo-assisted 2/2-way diaphragm solenoid valve designed to control, shut off, and meter neutral media. A minimum differential pressure is required for the valve to function. The 355232 variant features a stainless steel body, G 1 internal thread, NBR seal, and operates at 230V. It is equipped with a service-friendly manual override for start-up and testing, and carries ATEX/IECEx explosion protection approvals.

The 3/2-way pilot valve can be easily converted from NC (normally closed) to NO (normally open) circuit function by rotating it on the armature. The solenoid coils are moulded with a chemically resistant epoxy, ensuring durability in demanding industrial environments.

Installation and Operation

Risk of injury from high pressure

Before loosening the pipes and valves, turn off the pressure and vent the pipes.

Risk of injury due to electrical shock

Before reaching into the device or the equipment, switch off the power supply and secure to prevent reactivation. Observe applicable accident prevention and safety regulations for electrical equipment.

Before Installation: Installation can be in any position, preferably with the actuator upright. Prior to installation, check pipelines for dirt and clean if required. To ensure that the solenoid valve functions reliably, a dirt filter (≤ 500 µm) must be installed in front of the valve inlet.

Installation: Hold the device with a suitable tool (open-end wrench) on the body and screw into the pipeline. Observe the direction of flow: The arrow on the body indicates the direction of flow (no function in opposite flow direction).

Caution risk of breakage

Do not use the coil as a lever arm.

Manual Emergency Actuation:

Burkert 355232 Type 5282 manual emergency actuation

When the manual emergency actuation is locked, the valve can no longer be actuated electrically.

Changing Valve Function:

Burkert 355232 Type 5282 installing the pilot valve to change function

If the O-rings are forgotten or incorrectly inserted during installation of the pilot valve, the device will be damaged and medium will be discharged. Before screwing in the pilot valve, correctly insert O-rings into the depressions.

  • Function NC: The pilot valve is installed in such a way that the manual emergency actuation points in the direction opposite to the direction of flow arrow.
  • Function NO: The pilot valve is installed in such a way that the manual emergency actuation points in the same direction as the identification for the flow direction.
