BURKERT 43553 (Type 0290) is a servo-assisted 2/2-way diaphragm solenoid valve. The valve opens without differential pressure, facilitated by the fix-coupling of the diaphragm to the magnetic core. An integrated 'soft-kick' function ensures gentle opening. The 43553 model specifically features a 12mm orifice, a stainless steel body, EPDM seals, and operates at 230V 50Hz. The solenoid coils are moulded with an epoxy that has a high level of chemical resistance.

Installation and Safety

Installation Requirements

• Dirt trap: For safe operation of the solenoid valve, a dirt trap (≤400µm) must be installed before the valve inlet.
• Flow direction: The arrow on the body indicates the flow direction (no function in opposite flow direction).
• Electrical: Always connect the protective conductor. Check the protective conductor function after installing the coil.

High Pressure & Voltage

• Before loosening lines or valves, switch off the pressure and vent the lines.
• Before accessing the device or the system, switch off the power supply and secure it to prevent reactivation.

The spare parts SET 1 (coil set) or SET 3 (wearing part set) can be ordered based on the identification number of the device. For variants with approval, repair may only be carried out by Bürkert.
