BURKERT 45197 Type 0331 3/2-Way Direct-Acting Solenoid Valve, Brass, Flange, 48V DC

Bürkert 45197 (Type 0331) is a direct-acting, media-separated pivoted armature solenoid valve. It is configured as a 3/2-way variant with Circuit Function C (normally closed). The solenoid coils are moulded with a chemically resistant epoxy. Since the coil system is separated from the medium by a diaphragm, the valve is especially suitable for critical media such as aggressive acids and lyes. The 45197 model features a brass body, flange connection, NBR seals, and operates at 48V DC.

Safety Instructions

DANGER!

Risk of injury from high pressure in the system/device

  • Before working on equipment or device, switch off the pressure and deaerate/drain lines.

Risk of injury from electric shock

  • Before working on the system or device, switch off the power supply and secure against reactivation.
  • Observe the applicable accident prevention and safety regulations for electrical devices.

WARNING!

Risk of burns or fire from hot device surfaces due to prolonged activation time

  • Keep the device away from highly flammable substances and media and do not touch with bare hands.

Installation

Before installation:

  • The installation position is flexible. Preferably: actuator at the top.
  • Check pipelines for soiling and clean if required.
  • For safe operation of the solenoid valve, a dirt trap (≤ 500 µm) must be installed before the valve inlet.

Installation:

  • Pay attention to flow direction: The device will function properly only if the circuit function is observed.
  • Devices in flange variant: Fastening the device: using the screws supplied, fasten to base devices or connection plate.
  • Tighten the fastening screws on the coil with a maximum torque of 2 Nm.

Electrical Connection

DANGER!

There is a risk of electric shock if the protective conductor is not connected.

  • Connect protective conductor and check electrical continuity between coil and body.

Standard device:

  1. Connect L1/+ and N/– to terminals 1 and 2 independently of the polarity.
  2. Connect the protective conductor.
  3. Attach valve seat and check that it fits properly.
  4. Screw the cable plug (Type 2518 or 2509 in accordance with DIN EN 175301-803 (DIN 43 650), Design A) in place, observing the maximum torque of 1 Nm.
  5. Check electrical continuity between coil and body (protective conductor function).
