TLV CV-COS-16 electro-pneumatic control valve features a digital I/P positioner combined with a compact pneumatic actuator. It is equipped with a built-in cyclone separator and a self-modulating free float steam trap to provide dry, high-quality steam supply, improving productivity and product quality for process applications.

Safety Warning

NEVER apply direct heat to the float. The float may explode due to increased internal pressure, causing accidents leading to serious injury or damage to property and equipment.

Caution

DO NOT use the product in excess of the maximum operating pressure differential. Such use could make discharge through the steam trap impossible (blocked). Take measures to prevent people from coming into direct contact with product outlets.

Installation Guidelines

  • Blowdown: Blowdown is especially important for newly installed piping or after system shutdown. This reduces operation failure caused by condensate or foreign matter.
  • Installation Angle: Install the product vertically, so that the arrow mark on the body points horizontally in the direction of flow. Allowable inclination is 10 degrees in the fore-aft direction and 15 degrees in the plane perpendicular to the flow line.
  • Piping Support: Install the product avoiding excessive load, bending, and vibration. Support the inlet and outlet pipes securely.
  • Motive Air Quality: Supply to the actuator only clean air that does not contain water, oil, or foreign matter. Installation of an optional air filter regulator and mist separator is recommended.
