Yoshitake 150F-13S Flap Type Sight Glass

Yoshitake 150F-13S flap type sight glass in cast stainless steel. JIS Rc screwed connection, 15A-50A, max 1.0 MPa and 150°C for water and oil.

Yoshitake 150F-13S Flap Type Sight Glass

Yoshitake 150F-13S is a flap type sight glass with a cast stainless steel (SCS13) body and hardened glass. It features a JIS Rc screwed connection and is designed for cold and hot water, oil, and other non-dangerous fluids. The sight glass is suitable for nominal sizes from 15A to 50A, accommodating a maximum working pressure of 1.0 MPa and a maximum temperature of 150°C.

Features

  • Variation in flow rate can be checked easily with flap and scale plates.
  • Pressure loss caused by the fluid flow is as low as 0.01 MPa even when the flap shows the maximum flow rate, and does not affect the pressure of the fluid.
  • Can be connected to horizontal or vertical piping.
  • Available with protective wire mesh (150FP-□□S).

INFO

When a flap type is applied to steam condensate, use the product with mica plates (model number: 150FM-13S), within a maximum allowable working pressure of 0.6 MPa and max. temperature of 150°C.

Installation and Operation

WARNING

Before connecting the product to piping, remove foreign substances and dirt inside the piping to prevent the glass from being damaged or becoming opaque. Check the direction of the product so that the fluid flowing and the arrow marked on the product are in the same direction. Do not excessively screw in the product to the piping, as sealing material may reduce friction and overtightening may damage the product. Do not apply a rapid temperature change to the product during both initial and usual operations, as it may damage the glass resulting in a blowout of the fluid.

TIP

The glasses are consumable parts. Replace the glass if it is eroded by more than 10% of its thickness, if it has scratches or flaws, or if it becomes opaque after contacting a certain type of fluid.

Disassembly and Reassembly

When disassembling, completely discharge the pressure inside the product, piping, and equipment. Remove the bolts and nuts, then take out the covers and glasses. Clean the gasket spaces of the body, covers, and glasses before reassembly. Attach the scale plates, glasses, and gaskets in this order to the covers and assemble them to the body.

WARNING

Attach the scale plates in positions where they can be read from the outside. Make the flap point at the minimum scale value. To fix the covers to the body, tighten them evenly at the specified torque by using a torque wrench. Overtightening damages the glass.
