Yoshitake TA-3 Air Vent Valve, Ductile Cast Iron, 1.0 MPa

Yoshitake TA-3 air vent valve for cold/hot water and oil. Ductile cast iron body, JIS Rc screwed connection, 0.01-1.0 MPa working pressure, up to 90°C.

Yoshitake TA-3 Air Vent Valve, Ductile Cast Iron, 1.0 MPa

Yoshitake TA-3 is a high-performance air vent valve applicable to a wider pressure range than conventional models, covering from low to high pressures. It is suitable for building equipment, industrial equipment, and building complexes. The valve seat uses synthetic rubber to ensure zero leakage, and the valve body is electrodeposition-coated for rustproofing.

Features

  • Wider pressure range than that of conventional air vent valves.
  • Valve seat equipped with synthetic rubber (NBR disc) prevents leakage.
  • Electrodeposition-coated ductile cast iron body for excellent rustproofing.

Operation

  1. During installation, the float is in the lowered position and the valve seat is in the opened position.
  2. When water flows into the valve, pipe air is exhausted out of the valve seat, pushed by the water.
  3. The float is pushed up by the water flowing in, and the valve connected with the float is closed.
  4. When air enters, the float lowers immediately, dropping the valve and exhausting the air out of the valve seat.

Precautions for Installation and Usage

WARNING

  • Confirm that the product indications correspond with the specifications of the ordered product before use.
  • Do not touch the product directly with bare hands when handling high-temperature fluids to avoid burns.
  • Rapid pressure changes, such as water hammer, may break the product or its parts. Open the fluid supply valve slowly.
  • Be sure to discharge all internal pressure and allow the valve to cool before disassembly and inspection.

TIP

  • Install the valve vertically at a location where air easily accumulates, ensuring maintenance and inspection can be easily performed.
  • Place the outlet side piping so that it is 200 mm higher than the outlet top of the product.
  • Install a stop valve (cock or gate valve, do not use a globe valve) at the air vent valve inlet for maintenance.
  • To prevent water leakage from spreading, lead the outlet to a drain ditch with indirect water discharge to prevent submerging.
  • Remove foreign matter and scales from the lines before connecting the product. If leakage occurs due to foreign matter, close the stop valve, remove the valve seat from the exhaust hole, and clean it.
