BURKERT 20032236 (Type 8652) AirLINE valve island is developed for process automation requirements. Diagnostic functions are visualised on the LC display in clear text and symbols, simplifying message allocation and saving time during start-up and maintenance. Diagnostic messages are also transmitted to the controller for a fast overview of the plant status. The hardware is optimised for installation at the bottom of the control cabinet, with standard rail installation also supported. Key pneumatic functions, such as check valves in the exhaust air ducts, prevent unplanned actuation due to pressure peaks and ensure increased process reliability.

AirLINE Quick Installation

AirLINE Quick considerably reduces the use of components in the control cabinet. With the AirLINE Quick Adapter, the valve terminal is adapted directly to the control cabinet floor or wall.

Advantages:

• Reduced space requirement in the control cabinet, enabling the use of more compact cabinets.
• Reduced installation effort due to hose connections directly at the bottom of the control cabinet.

Circuit Functions

The Type 8652 supports multiple standard and safety-related (SIA) circuit functions. The SIA variant (Type 6534) is equipped with additional connection terminals, allowing a valve circuit to be interrupted by an external switch for safety-related shut-off.

Power Supply

• Communication and displays: 5-pin spring-loaded terminal (24 V DC, CAN_H, Shielding, CAN_L, GND).
• Pneumatic valves: 2-pin spring-loaded terminal (AUX 24 V, GND). The interface plate separates the pneumatic valves' power supply from the main communication module.

Fieldbus Interface

For Industrial Ethernet (PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, EtherCAT, CC-Link IE Field Basic) or PROFINET S2, the device uses RJ45 interfaces (X1 and X2).

Hot Swap Function

To use the Hot Swap function, always observe a minimum distance to the front edge of the control cabinet when installing the valve island inside the control cabinet.

Electronic Module with Digital Inputs (Optional)

The digital inputs are supplied (24 V) by the electronic module. Current is limited to a maximum of 30 mA per digital input. Standard 3-wire sensors, 2-wire sensors with voltages between 10–30 V, and mechanical limit switches can be used. The module provides open-circuit detection with 2-wire sensors and short-circuit detection with 3-wire sensors.
