BURKERT Type 2103 2/2-way diaphragm valve with pneumatic actuator. Features stainless steel clamp connection, advanced PTFE/EPDM diaphragm, and handles 0-5 bar.

BURKERT Type 2103 externally controlled diaphragm valve consists of a pneumatically operated piston actuator, a diaphragm, and a 2-way valve body. The actuator features a stainless steel housing for use in hygienic or aggressive ambient conditions. The flow-efficient valve bodies with little dead space enable high flow rates. The actuator has a compact, autoclavable design with gap-free seals. Integration of automation units Type ELEMENT is possible in all configuration levels, and an explosion-proof ATEX/IECEx device variant is available.

Explosion Hazard in ATEX Zones
If the device is used in potentially explosive areas (Zones 1/21 and 2/22), electrostatic discharge presents an explosion risk. Ground the actuator and valve body. If using a plastic valve body, ground the actuator separately. Only use media with conductivity ≤100 pS/m if flow velocity exceeds 1 m/s.
When using a pilot valve or a control unit mounted on the actuator, observe their permissible temperature ranges.

Pressure Limits
If the device bursts, escaping media may cause injuries. Observe the maximum permissible operating pressure for the specific control function and seal material. For CF A with EPDM/FKM seals, the maximum dynamic operating pressure is up to 10 bar depending on actuator size.
