BURKERT 20069476 3361 Electromotive 2-Way Globe Control Valve

The Burkert Type 3361 electromotive 2-way globe control valve offers highly precise dynamic closed-loop control, weather resistance, and fieldbus compatibility.

BURKERT 20069476 3361 Electromotive 2-Way Globe Control Valve

Burkert Type 3361 electromotive 2-way globe control valve is the solution for control tasks under demanding operating conditions. The electromotive actuator with a ball screw positions the control cone with the highest precision. A unique feature is its high positioning speed of up to 6 mm/s, reacting almost delay-free to process signals. Pressure variations or shocks in the medium are not transferred to the valve position. Each flow-optimised valve body can be equipped with up to 5 different valve seats for precise adaptation to customer needs. If necessary, the safety position can be approached by an optional SAFEPOS energy-pack in case of power failure.

The actuator and valve are perfectly adapted to each other with a closed design and robust surface, ensuring the hygienic requirements of fast and residue-free cleaning. Harsh environmental conditions are no problem for the Type 3361 due to its IP65/IP67 degree of protection and high impact and vibration resistance. The fieldbus-compatible Type 3361 provides helpful functions for process monitoring, valve diagnostics, and predictive maintenance.

Product Design and Assembly

BURKERT 20069476 Burkert 3361 design of electromotive valve AG3

The electromotive linear drive consists of a brushless DC motor, a gear, and a spindle system that transfers the force to the closing element. The integrated electronics are controlled either by standard signals or via a fieldbus. The optional SAFEPOS energy-pack supplies the actuator with the energy required to move the valve into a desired safety position if the supply voltage fails.

Maintenance and Service

Risk of injury from high pressure

Before working on the system or device, switch off the pressure and vent or drain lines.

Risk of crushing

Perform installation and maintenance work only in the isolated state. For devices with SAFEPOS energy-pack: Completely drain the energy pack and wait until the LED illuminated ring goes out.

Replacing the Control Cone

  1. Set operating state to MANUAL and move the valve into the open position.
  2. Switch off the supply voltage.
  3. Remove the actuator from the valve body.
  4. Knock out the dowel pin using a suitable pin punch and remove the control cone.
  5. Attach the new control cone to the spindle, align the bores, and carefully knock in the new dowel pin.
  6. Mount the actuator on the valve body and run the X.TUNE function.

Replacing the SAFEPOS Energy-Pack

  1. Switch off the supply voltage and wait until the LED goes out.
  2. Open the actuator housing by removing the dummy cover/display module and actuator cover.
  3. Loosen the locking screw (T10) and pull out the old SAFEPOS energy-pack.
  4. Insert the new SAFEPOS energy-pack into the guiding grooves and push in all the way.
  5. Tighten the locking screw (1.1 Nm) and close the actuator housing.
