BURKERT 20077187 (Type 8652) AirLINE Valve Island, 20-Bank, PROFIBUS DPV1

BURKERT 20077187 (Type 8652) AirLINE valve island with 20 valve ports, PROFIBUS DPV1, and AirLINE Quick adapter. Optimised for process automation.

BURKERT 20077187 (Type 8652) AirLINE Valve Island, 20-Bank, PROFIBUS DPV1

BURKERT 20077187 (Type 8652) AirLINE valve island has been especially developed for process automation requirements. This specific configuration features 20 valve ports equipped with 2x 3/2-way WWC valves, a PROFIBUS DPV1 communication interface, and a stainless steel AirLINE Quick adapter plate. New diagnostic functions can be visualised on the LC display, both in clear text as well as symbols. This makes it easy to relate to the shown messages and helps to save time during start-up and maintenance. Furthermore, the diagnostic message is also available at the controller, enabling a fast overview of the plant status.

The hardware is optimised for installation at the bottom of the control cabinet, though installation on a standard rail is also possible. Key pneumatic functions ensure increased process reliability, such as integrated check valves in the exhaust air ducts that prevent unplanned actuation due to pressure peaks.

AirLINE Quick Adapter

AirLINE Quick considerably reduces the use of components in the control cabinet. With the AirLINE Quick Adapter, the valve terminal is adapted directly to the control cabinet floor or control cabinet wall.

Advantages:

  • Reduced space requirement in the control cabinet.
  • Makes it possible to use more compact control cabinets.
  • Reduced installation effort due to hose connections directly at the bottom of the control cabinet.

Circuit Functions

The Type 8652 supports various circuit functions. This specific 20077187 model is equipped with 2x 3/2-way WWC (Circuit function C) valves across its 20 positions.

  • Circuit function C (CF C): 3/2-way solenoid valve, servo-controlled, normally closed.
  • Circuit function D (CF D): 2 × 3/2-way solenoid valve, servo-controlled, normally open.
  • Circuit function H (CF H): 5/2-way solenoid valve, servo-controlled.
  • Circuit function L (CF L): 5/3-way solenoid valve, in middle position all ports locked.
  • Circuit function M (CF M): 5/3-way solenoid valve, in middle position ports 2 and 4 ventilated.
  • Circuit function N (CF N): 5/3-way solenoid valve, in middle position ports 2 and 4 exhausted.
  • Circuit function Z (CF Z): 5/2-way solenoid valve, impulse variant with 2 coils.

Supplementary Instructions for EX Areas

DANGER

Danger from voltage:

  • Before working on the device or system, switch off the power supply. Secure against reactivation.
  • In an existing explosive atmosphere, the connection terminals for 24 V supply, SIA, EVS, and digital inputs may only be plugged in or unplugged when the power is switched off.
  • The use of the Hot Swap function is prohibited in an existing explosive atmosphere.

WARNING

Danger of explosion due to electrostatic charge:

  • Take appropriate measures to ensure that no electrostatic charge can build up in the potentially explosive area.
  • Only clean the device surface by wiping it gently with a damp or antistatic cloth.

For explosion protection type "ec", install the device in an enclosure that meets the applicable requirements for explosion protection type "ec" according to EN/IEC 60079-0 and EN/IEC 60079-7 and has a degree of protection of at least IP54. For type "tc" (dust), the enclosure must have a degree of protection of at least IP6X.
