BURKERT 20081942 Type 2933 2/2-Way Diaphragm Valve, Welded, Forged Stainless Steel

BURKERT 20081942 (Type 2933) 2/2-way manually operated diaphragm valve. Features DN 40 welded connection, forged 316L stainless steel body, EPDM diaphragm, and 0-10 bar pressure range.

BURKERT 20081942 Type 2933 2/2-Way Diaphragm Valve, Welded, Forged Stainless Steel

BURKERT Type 2933 (SKU: 20081942) is a 2/2-way manually operated diaphragm valve consisting of a manually operated actuator, an EPDM high-temperature diaphragm, and a forged stainless steel 2-way valve body. The manual actuator features a PPS plastic handwheel and a stainless steel diaphragm bonnet, ensuring reliable use in hygienic or aggressive ambient conditions. The flow-optimized valve body with minimum dead space enables high flow values (Kv 37 m³/h) and a wide range of possible applications. The actuator has a compact, autoclavable design and is equipped with an integrated visual position indicator, a reproducible stroke scale, and an adjustable closing limiter.

This specific model features a DN 40 (38.1x1.65) welded connection conforming to ASME BPE / DIN 11866 Series C / BS4825 standards. It is designed for a pressure range of 0 to 10 bar and medium temperatures from -10 °C to +143 °C. The valve is CIP and SIP capable, making it highly suitable for sterile and highly purified media applications.

  • Valve body and diaphragm: Available in different materials and variants.
  • Product wetted surfaces: Ra ≤ 0.38 µm…1.6 µm (electropolished).
  • Approvals: ATEX, IECEx, FDA, USP Class VI, 3-A, and EC 1935/2004 compliant.

Installation Notes

Welding Preparations

To prevent damage, dismantle the actuator and diaphragm before welding the valve body into the pipeline. After welding, smooth the body surface (if necessary) by sanding and clean the valve body thoroughly before reassembling the diaphragm and actuator.

Explosion Hazard due to Electrostatic Charge

If the device is used in a potentially explosive area (Zone 1/21 or 2/22), ensure proper grounding of the valve body and actuator to prevent electrostatic discharge. Only wipe the device surfaces with a damp or anti-static cloth.
