Burkert Type 8647 AirLINE SP electropneumatic valve island. Integrates directly with Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP / HA. Features LC display, safety shut-off, and up to 64 valve slots.

Burkert Type 8647 AirLINE SP is a modular, electropneumatic automation system consisting of connection and valve modules. It is designed for complete integration into the decentralized peripheral systems SIMATIC ET 200SP and SIMATIC ET 200SP HA from Siemens. The valve island incorporates pneumatic pilot valves directly into the SIMATIC I/O system, allowing pneumatic cylinders and process valves to be connected at the pneumatic outputs.
INFO
The valve block and the electronic modules of SIMATIC ET 200SP / SIMATIC ET 200SP HA provide extensive configuration options and diagnostics capabilities, including LC displays on the electronic base modules.

| Operating medium | Oil-free or lubricated compressed dry air (ISO 8573-1:2010, Class 7.4.4) |
The pneumatic supply and deaeration of the valve block occur via connection units, which also secure the block to the standard rail. Connection units can be optionally equipped with a pressure gauge or an electronic pressure sensor. Variants with an electronic pressure sensor provide the measured supply pressure as an analog value via the ET 200SP and feature five LEDs for device and pressure status.

Valve units convert electrical control signals into pneumatic output signals. They consist of an electronic base module (PQ module), a pneumatic base module, and the pilot valves.

The system integrates specific Burkert pilot valves for pneumatic actuation:
| Symbol | Description |
|---|---|
| C (CF C) | 3/2-way solenoid valve, servo-controlled, normally closed |
| D (CF D) | 3/2-way solenoid valve, servo-controlled, normally open |
| H (CF H) | 5/2-way solenoid valve, servo-controlled |
| L (CF L) | 5/3-way solenoid valve, middle position all ports locked |
| N (CF N) | 5/3-way solenoid valve, middle position ports 2 and 4 exhausted |
| Z (CF Z) | 5/2-way solenoid valve, impulse variant with 2 coils |
WARNING
The electrical shutdown of valve Types 6524 and 6525 causes them to return to their rest position. Using manual override to operate valves overrides the electrical shutdown.
The Type 8647 supports safety-related applications through different shut-off variants:
The AirLINE Quick adapter allows the valve terminal to be mounted directly to the control cabinet floor or wall, eliminating the need for internal bulkhead fittings and reducing the required cabinet space. It features stainless steel or anodized aluminum adapter plates and push-in pneumatic connections.
