BURKERT 346663 (Type 0330) is a direct-acting, media-separated 2/2-way pivoted armature solenoid valve designed for controlling aggressive and pure liquid or gaseous media. It features circuit function A (normally closed), an orifice diameter of DN 3.0 mm (1/8"), an operating pressure range from 0 to 10 bar, a 1.4401 stainless steel body, and NPT 1/4 internal threads. Media isolation is achieved by an FKM diaphragm that hermetically separates the operating medium from the solenoid actuator.
Operating Principle and Construction
Type 0330 uses pivoted armature technology with zero metal-to-metal sliding friction inside the fluid chamber. The magnetic coil is moulded with chemically resistant epoxy resin and bolted directly to the valve body in a vibration-proof arrangement. Because the diaphragm seals the fluid area hermetically from the actuator, the valve prevents media degradation and avoids chemical attack on internal core components, making it suitable for oxidizing acids, salt solutions, hot oils with additives, and waste gases.
A manual override is integrated on the upper housing for testing, commissioning, and manual switching without electrical power. The DC coil operates with 100% continuous duty rating (100% ED), consuming 11 W cold and 8 W in warm steady state.

The valve body has an installation length of 46 mm. Mounting is accomplished via two tapped holes on the bottom face with a 38 mm x 24 mm hole pattern using M4 screws. Observe the thread screw-in depth during assembly to ensure secure fastening.
Installation Recommendation
Installation position is optional, but mounting with the coil and actuator upright is recommended to minimize particulate settling inside the seat chamber. Ensure connected pipework is flushed of debris and particles before mounting.
