Circuit Function and Port Assignment

BURKERT 41116 operates in Circuit Function C (CF C), which defines a 3/2-way direct-acting solenoid valve closed in the de-energized position. In this de-energized state, pressure inlet port 1 (P/NC) is sealed shut, while working outlet port 2 (A/OUT) is open to exhaust port 3 (R/NO). When electrical power is applied to the 230 V coil, the pivoted armature opens port 1 to port 2 while closing exhaust port 3.

Operating Pressure Limits in Alternate Circuit Functions

If a DN 3.0 mm metal body valve configured for Circuit Function C is plumbed into alternative circuits, maximum allowable operating pressure varies: 10 bar for Function A, 1 bar for Function B, 10 bar for Function C, 1 bar for Function D, 1 bar for Function E, and 10 bar for Function F.

Materials and Media Separation

The construction of Type 0330 isolates all mechanical pivoting elements and magnetic core assemblies from the process media. The isolating diaphragm acts simultaneously as the dynamic barrier between the fluid chamber and the solenoid actuator.

Thread Depth Caution for G 1/4 Connections

When installing pipe fittings into the G 1/4 connection threads, observe that the middle connection provides a minimum thread length of 7.5 mm. When pipe fittings require deeper thread engagement, variants with G 1/8 threading are selected to prevent bottoming out against the valve seat chamber.

Mounting Orientation

The valve may be installed in any physical mounting orientation. Orientation with the solenoid actuator upright is recommended to minimize particulate sedimentation on the isolating diaphragm.
