BURKERT 53644 (Type 0330) 3/2-Way Direct-Acting Solenoid Valve

Burkert 53644 (Type 0330) is a direct-acting, media-separated 3/2-way solenoid valve with a brass body, NBR seal, and G1/4 connection for neutral media up to 10 bar.

BURKERT 53644 (Type 0330) 3/2-Way Direct-Acting Solenoid Valve

Burkert 53644 (Type 0330) is a direct-acting, media-separated 3/2-way pivoted armature solenoid valve designed for controlling, shutting off, and dosing neutral and aggressive media. The solenoid actuator and the medium chamber are separated by a diaphragm system, making the valve highly resistant to critical media such as aggressive acids and alkalis. It features a maintenance-free pivoted armature technology, a vibration-proof block screwed coil system, and a service-friendly, robust manual override for start-up and testing.

Specifically, the 53644 variant operates with a normally open circuit function (Circuit Function D), where inlet port 1 (P/NO) is connected to outlet port 2 (B/OUT), and exhaust port 3 (R/NC) is closed. It features a 3.0 mm orifice, a brass body, and NBR (Nitrile rubber) seals, making it suitable for neutral media like compressed air, water, and hydraulic oil at temperatures from 0 °C to 80 °C. The valve handles operating pressures from 0 to 10 bar and is equipped with a G 1/4 internal thread port connection. It operates on a 120 V / 60 Hz AC power supply and achieves an IP65 protection rating when used with a suitable cable plug.

Installation and Operation

Safety Instructions

  • Risk of injury from high pressure: Before working on equipment or device, switch off the pressure and deaerate/drain lines.
  • Risk of injury from electric shock: Before working on the system or device, switch off the power supply and secure against reactivation. Observe the applicable accident prevention and safety regulations for electrical devices.
  • Risk of burns: Keep the device away from highly flammable substances and media and do not touch with bare hands during prolonged activation.

Manual Override

When manual override is locked, the valve cannot be electrically actuated.

Burkert 53644 (Type 0330) manual override operation

  1. Press and hold the manual override.
  2. Turn manual override clockwise.

Electrical Connection

For the standard device, connect L1/+ and N/- to terminals 1 and 2 independently of the polarity. Connect the protective conductor. Screw the cable plug (Type 2518 or 2509 in accordance with DIN EN 175301-803, Design A) in place, observing the maximum torque of 1 Nm. Check electrical continuity between coil and body.
