Product Overview

The Spirax Sarco FT14 is a flanged SG iron ball float steam trap having an integral automatic air vent. It is designed for all types of low and high pressure steam heating and process equipment.

Product Features

• Integral automatic air vent as standard.
• Optional Steam Lock Release (SLR) mechanism available (replaces the standard air vent).
• Flow direction can be specified as right to left (R-L) or left to right (L-R).
• With the standard air vent, it is known as the FT14 (e.g. FT14-4.5) or FT14 TV.
• With the SLR, it is known as the FT14 SLR.

Installation and Maintenance

Installation

The trap must be installed with the float arm in the horizontal plane so that it rises and falls vertically. It is normally supplied with the flow direction from Right to Left (R-L) when facing the body, but can be configured for Left to Right (L-R) flow.

Maintenance

Before undertaking any maintenance on the trap, ensure that the system is fully isolated and that the pressure and temperature have reached safe levels.
