Product Overview

The Spirax Sarco UTDS46M is a workshop-maintainable stainless steel thermodynamic steam trap for low-capacity drainage duties up to 46 bar g. The trap combines an integral strainer, integral air vent, insulating cover, and replaceable seat, and mounts to a suitable pipeline connector with two screws for fast installation and replacement.

The product complies with the European Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.

Certification to EN 10204 3.1 is available when all certification and inspection requirements are specified at the time of order.

Installation and Maintenance

For full details, refer to Installation and Maintenance Instructions IM-P187-05.

  • Install the trap with the disc in a horizontal plane and the insulating cover at the top.
  • Fit a non-return valve when discharging condensate into return lines with backpressure.
  • Fit a diffuser when discharging to atmosphere.
  • Consider isolation valves upstream and downstream for safe maintenance.

Ordering Information

UTDS46M is supplied in two parts and both parts must be ordered separately:

  1. Swivel pipeline connector: PC10HP, PC3, or PC4.
  2. UTDS46M trap complete with inner and outer gaskets and two connector screws, supplied in a protective box.

Any optional extras, including the BDV2 integral blowdown valve retrofit, must be specified at the time of order placement.
