The TLV SQ2 SteamAqua is a compact, high-capacity steam-fired instantaneous water heater designed for simple operation. It quickly produces a stable supply of hot water up to 95 °C for industrial processes, cleaning, and sanitization. The SQ2 model delivers a thermal capability of 200 kW and utilizes steam/water shell and spiral tube indirect heating to ensure reliable and efficient performance.

Configuration and Components

The unit is packaged with all necessary components for stable temperature control and condensate discharge.

Component	Description
PowerTrap	Removes steam condensate consumed by the heat exchanger to produce hot water. Functions as both a trap and a pump for low-pressure conditions.
Heat Exchanger	Produces hot water by exchanging heat from steam to water.
Flow Sensor	Senses water flow to control steam supply and prevents heating below the minimum controllable flow rate.
Temperature Sensor	Monitors water temperature to ensure stable output within ±1 °C of the set point.
Steam Control Valve	Adjusts steam flow rate. Features a built-in condensate separator to supply dry steam.
Control Panel	Features a touch panel display for setting target temperatures, monitoring system status, and logging operation data.

Temperature Stability and Control

The SQ2 is capable of supplying water with a temperature deviation of ±1 °C of the set temperature during stable operation. Rapid adjustments to the water supply valve or sudden temperature changes in the supply water may temporarily cause larger deviations. A touch panel display allows for precise adjustment of the target temperature and displays the current operating status, water outlet temperature, and valve opening percentage.

The target temperature can be set remotely using a 4 to 20 mA analog signal, corresponding to 0 °C to 100 °C.

Safety Features

The SQ2 features an abnormal temperature rise preventing function. This safety system activates when the water flow rate drops below the set limit or when the water temperature exceeds the high-temperature alarm threshold. During activation:

• Steam supply is shut off (solenoid and control valves close).
• The internal cooling system circulates water to cool the heat exchanger and prevent overheating.

WARNING

For applications such as handwashing where hot water directly touches skin, make sure to install a thermostatic mixing valve on the outlet to prevent burns in the event of load fluctuations.
