The BURKERT Type 8647 AirLINE SP is a modular electropneumatic automation system for direct integration into Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP and ET 200SP HA. Features LC display diagnostics and safety-related shut-off.

The BURKERT Type 8647 AirLINE SP is a modular, electropneumatic automation system consisting of connection and valve modules. It has been especially developed for safe and complete integration into the decentralised peripheral system "SIMATIC ET 200SP" and "SIMATIC ET 200SP HA" from Siemens. Pneumatically operated process valves, pneumatic cylinders, or other pneumatic components can be connected to the pneumatic outputs. If the pneumatic components are installed with position feedbacks, the position of the actuated pneumatic components can be displayed on the associated pilot valve via the LC display.
System Integration
The valve block is used to incorporate pneumatic pilot valves directly in SIMATIC ET 200SP/SP HA and to activate them via the Siemens system. Parameterization and configuration take place using the same tools as for SIMATIC ET 200SP/SP HA, such as SIMATIC "STEP 7", "TIA Portal", or "PCS7". Integration in various PROFIBUS systems or PROFINET systems occurs via GSD/GSDML.

The valve block supports multiple pilot valve types to suit different circuit functions and flow requirements.
The pilot valve Type 6524 (single and double valve) and Type 6525 (single valve) consist of a pilot flipper solenoid valve Type 6144 and a pneumatic seat valve. The circuit function allows switching of high pressures with low power consumption and short switching times. The pilot valves are equipped with a manual override as standard.

The solenoid valve Type 0460 consists of a pneumatic valve body fitted with a double coil pilot valve. The active principle enables the switching of higher pressures at lower power consumption and short switching times. All valves are equipped with manual override as a standard.

AirLINE Quick considerably reduces the use of components in the control cabinet. With the AirLINE Quick Adapter, the valve terminal is adapted directly to the control cabinet floor or control cabinet wall. This reduces the space requirement in the control cabinet and minimizes installation effort due to hose connections directly at the bottom of the control cabinet.

The valve block supports safety-related applications through different shut-off variants:
Safety Application Limits
The electrical shutdown of valve Types 6524 and 6525 causes them to return to the rest position. Using manual override to operate valves overrides the electrical shutdown. For safety applications, either use valve variants without manual override or protect the manual override against unintentional adjustment.
The single valves of Types 6524 and 6525, the pneumatic base modules, the connection units, and the control cabinet base adaptation AirLINE Quick have been revised (REV.2). Compared to REV.1, the flange patterns of the valves have been standardised towards the pneumatic base modules. The single valves 3/2-way and 5/2-way as well as the double valves 2x3/2-way now have the same unified pneumatic flange pattern (FM20). REV.1 and REV.2 single valves are not compatible and must be replaced with the corresponding revision.
