BURKERT 333699 (Type 6213 EV) is a servo-assisted 2/2-way diaphragm valve with DN 25 orifice, NPT 1 female port, stainless steel body, EPDM seal, and 230-240 V AC Kick and Drop energy-saving coil.

BURKERT 333699 Type 6213 EV Servo-Assisted 2/2-Way Diaphragm Valve, DN 25 NPT 1 Stainless Steel 230-240V AC

BURKERT 333699 (Type 6213 EV) is a servo-assisted 2/2-way diaphragm valve with spring coupling that allows the main valve orifice to open without requiring an operating differential pressure. Built with a cast stainless steel 1.4408 body, an internal NPT 1 process thread, and EPDM seat and external seals, the valve delivers an open water flow factor (Kv) of 11 m³/h and a gas flow factor (QNn) of 11,900 l/min across an operating pressure range of 0.00 bar to 10.00 bar.

Operating on 230 V to 240 V AC (50/60 Hz), article 333699 integrates Bürkert Kick and Drop double-coil technology (coil size K, 42 mm width). The electronics provide a high inrush power pulse of 85 W for approximately 500 ms to lift the plunger, subsequently stepping down to a cold holding power of 8.5 W and a warm holding power of 7 W, reducing thermal dissipation and electrical power consumption during steady-state operation.

Switching Frequency and Duty Cycle

Unless specified otherwise, the solenoid actuator is rated for 100% ED continuous operation. When using Kick and Drop coils, the maximum permissible operating frequency is 6 switching cycles per minute.

Installation and Piping Guidelines

Before connecting the valve into the system, clear all piping of chips, rust, and particulate contamination.

Upstream Filtration Recommendation

Install a dirt trap or strainer with a mesh rating of ≤ 500 µm upstream of the valve inlet to prevent particulate matter from lodging in the pilot channels or clogging the diaphragm control hole.

  • Mounting position is arbitrary, preferably with the solenoid actuator upright.
  • Observe flow direction: the cast arrow on the valve body indicates fluid flow from inlet port 1 to outlet port 2.
  • Hold the valve body directly across the hex flats (SW 41 mm) using an open-end wrench. Never use the solenoid coil as a lever arm when tightening threaded pipe joints.
  • Connect the cable plug (Form A acc. to DIN EN 175301-803) and tighten the central fastening screw to a maximum torque of 1 Nm.
  • Always connect the protective earth (PE) conductor and verify electrical continuity between the coil connector earth terminal and the stainless steel body.

Operating Safety Warnings

  • Energizing the solenoid coil without a completely mounted valve body will cause severe overheating and permanent coil failure.
  • Do not loosen or overtighten the retaining nut while the system is under pressure. Depressurize and vent all process lines before beginning maintenance.
